When you pay out-of-pocket (or work with an out-of-network provider), you work with your counselor to determine the best counseling course, content, frequency, and intensity. Details of your mental health information have a greater degree of privacy.  If you pay entirely out-of-pocket, your information never leaves my office (except on rare occasions when required by law).  If you choose to use Reimbursify, you will provide information to the service so they can access your insurance information for reimbursement through a superbill.   Your clinical information will remain private and confidential from your insurance company, except for the information that you provided, which is that you are accessing services.
